Appointments are confirmed only after the required deposit is paid or, where no deposit is required, after the booking request is submitted and accepted. Availability shown on the site can change until confirmation is issued.

Hairstyling and Hindu bridal styling inquiry submissions are quote requests only. They do not create a confirmed booking, reserved time slot, or payment obligation until Kim follows up and a deposit is paid.

Where a deposit is required, it secures the appointment slot and is applied to the service price. The balance is payable at the appointment unless the confirmation says otherwise.

A 50% deposit is required to secure all Scalp Soak Haus and Kimberly Gareeb Styling appointments. Your appointment is only confirmed once the deposit has been paid through the booking app. The remaining balance is payable on the day of your treatment before your service. Deposits are required because each treatment slot is reserved exclusively for the client. Due to the specialised nature and duration of our treatments, last-minute cancellations are difficult to refill and may result in a loss of income for the business.

The checkout or confirmation page shows the available payment method for the selected service, which may include online payment, pay-on-arrival, cash, or card in studio.

The payment options available in studio are : Instant EFT, FNB Geo-payment , cash, PayPal or card machine. ( Proof of payment must be sent to Kim where card or cash payments are not made). Your bill must be settled prior to leaving the studio.

We kindly ask that clients give as much notice as possible if they need to cancel or reschedule an appointment.

Cancellations or rescheduling with 48 hours or more notice: Your deposit may be transferred to a new appointment date, subject to availability.

Cancellations or rescheduling with less than 48 hours’ notice: The 50% deposit may be forfeited as a reasonable cancellation fee, as the reserved appointment slot may be difficult to refill at short notice.

Same-day cancellations or no-shows: Same-day cancellations and no-shows will result in the full deposit being forfeited or not being able to book with me again.

Late arrivals: Please arrive on time for your appointment. Please notify Kimberly if you are running late so she can adjust her schedule to accommodate as best as possible- where this is not possible, your treatment time may need to be shortened to avoid affecting the next client. The full treatment price will still apply. If you are excessively late and we are unable to proceed with the treatment, this may be treated as a same-day cancellation.

Scalp Soak Haus: Deposits are non-refundable for late cancellations, same-day cancellations, and no-shows. However, Scalp Soak Haus may consider a refund or transfer of the deposit in exceptional circumstances, at management’s discretion. The deposit will not be kept where the client is unable to attend due to the death or hospitalisation of the person for whom the booking was made, in line with the Consumer Protection Act guidance. Refunds are not provided for services that have already been performed. refunds may take 3 to 10 business days to reflect.

Nailed It: Refunds are not provided for services that have already been performed. Should lifting, chipping or breakages occur within 7 days of your appointment due to application-related issues, repairs may be carried out at no additional charge, subject to assessment by the nail technician. Repairs required after 7 days, or where damage is determined to be the result of client-related factors, will be charged at the applicable repair rate.

Please arrive with clean, bare nails where possible and tell the nail technician about allergies, sensitivities, reactions to gel, acrylic, monomer, adhesives, primers, open wounds, infections, or skin and nail conditions before the service starts.

Nail product reactions arising from undisclosed allergies, sensitivities, or pre-existing conditions are not be refundable, and appointments may need to be rescheduled where treatment would be unsafe.

Please note that we do not perform services on active contagious infections or bacterial infections.Please ensure the infection has been treated before booking an appointment.

If your nail beds are very thin, there is a high chance that are nail enhancement will not last as long as it should as the foundation has been compromised. Where there is damage to the nail bed we reserve the right to refuse application of product to the nail as this may result in an infection.

Before the appointment starts, tell the therapist about scalp sensitivities, psoriasis, eczema, dermatitis, seborrheic conditions, allergies to oils or botanicals, open sores, active infections, recent scalp procedures, or other conditions that may affect treatment safety. Clients are responsible for providing accurate information before and during their appointment, including information relating to: Pregnancy or breastfeeding Allergies or sensitivities Scalp conditions Medical conditions Medication use Recent hair or scalp treatments Any discomfort during the treatment Scalp Soak Haus will not be held responsible for reactions, discomfort, or complications where relevant information was not disclosed by the client.

Active scalp concerns may require rescheduling for client safety.

Pregnancy & Breastfeeding Disclaimer: Scalp Soak Haus offers a tea menu as part of the client experience. Certain teas may not be suitable for clients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. The following teas on our menu are not recommended for pregnant or breastfeeding clients: Oat straw tea Horsetail tea These teas will be clearly indicated on the tea menu. Clients who are pregnant, breastfeeding, taking medication, or managing a medical condition are encouraged to speak to their doctor or healthcare provider before consuming herbal teas or receiving treatments. Please inform your therapist before your treatment if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have any health concerns that may affect your treatment experience.

Scalp Soak Haus specialises primarily in scalp concerns relating to hair thinning and hair loss support. Our services are designed to support relaxation, scalp wellness, and healthy-looking hair. They are not a substitute for medical diagnosis, treatment, or advice. Where necessary, clients may be referred to a qualified trichologist, doctor, dermatologist, or healthcare professional for further assessment. Results may vary from client to client, depending on lifestyle, scalp condition, hair health, consistency, and underlying causes.

Scalp Soak Haus reserves the right to refuse or stop a treatment if: The client has an active infection or contagious scalp condition The client is under the influence of alcohol or drugs The client behaves inappropriately or disrespectfully The treatment may not be safe or suitable for the client The client has not disclosed important health information In such cases, the deposit may be forfeited depending on the circumstances.

Gift vouchers purchased from Scalp Soak Haus and Nailed It are valid for 3 years from the date of issue, unless a longer period is stated on the voucher. Gift vouchers may be redeemed against eligible treatments or products at Scalp Soak Haus or Nailed It, subject to availability. Gift vouchers are not redeemable for cash and cannot be refunded once purchased. Lost, stolen, or damaged vouchers cannot be replaced unless proof of purchase can be provided and the voucher has not yet been redeemed. Promotional vouchers, complimentary vouchers, giveaway vouchers, or competition prizes may have different validity periods and conditions, which will be clearly stated at the time of issue.

A referral discount can only be redeemed when the physical referral card is presented at the appointment.

Products purchased from Scalp Soak Haus may only be returned or exchanged if they are defective, damaged, or incorrectly supplied. For hygiene and safety reasons, opened or used products cannot be returned unless defective. Clients are encouraged to follow all product instructions carefully and to discontinue use if irritation occurs.

Prices, treatment durations, inclusions, and availability may change without prior notice. Kimberly Gareeb reserves the right to update these policies when necessary. By making a booking, paying a deposit, purchasing a voucher, or receiving a treatment, the client confirms that they have read, understood, and accepted these terms and conditions' here.

Service durations are estimates and can vary by client needs, product response, complexity, and consultation outcomes. Please disclose relevant allergies, sensitivities, medical or scalp/nail/hair conditions, and prior chemical treatments before the service starts.

For hairstyling, chemical, corrective, or event services, the final scope and price may depend on consultation, distance, venue, timing, number of people, and materials.
